Different laws for the recognition of parenthood between EU member states leaves children in vulnerable situations. To strengthen children’s rights the EU Commission this week adopted a proposal to harmonise the rules.
We the European Centre-Right LGBT+ Alliance welcomes this proposal from the EU Commission. It is a big step forward to create a better situation for children and families within the EU member states. It will create legal certainty and provide protection for families of different kinds. This is especially important for rainbow families and children in rainbow families.
